Layout update

I just made a few tweaks to our layout. I think most of them will enhance your experience here at Arma.
  • Many of the ads from the right hand navigation column are gone. Those that remain should be clustered more effectively. Nobody clicked on them anyways so they are gone. I have left a few that show specific items rather than generic "SPORTING GOODS!"
  • I have included a link to Amazon at the top of the page. This link will only show products that we have reviewed here. So rather than seeing random stuff you should see relevant items that we talk about here.
  • I've started to add a few more links to the directories on the right.
  • I've split the Blogroll into two categories. "Allied Territory" will bring you to other sites of a similar ideological bent. "No Man's Land" will bring you to sites with a considerably different ideological bent. One might ask, "Chris, why are you giving these folks even one more link?" To that, I answer:

If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle. - Sun Tzu
I do want to emphasize that these blogs are not "enemy territory." I don't disapprove of them on all issues and at all times. I just think it is important to listen to multiple perspectives even if you disagree. It makes your own views more coherent and forces you to go outside your comfort zone.
As a note, we greatly appreciate your support. Clicking on an AdSense Google link will credit us with a few cents -- not much but it ads up. Think of it as putting some change in the tip jar. Purchasing something from one of our affiliate programs such as Amazon by navigating there with our links also credits us with a modest referral bonus, even if you don't end up getting the item you originally linked to. Best of all, doing this costs you nothing (other than about 15 seconds of bandwidth in a new tab, I suppose). I've started clicking other people's AdSense links when they post something I enjoyed reading because I figure that is a good way to say, "Hey, I read what you posted, I liked it, keep it up!"

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions, comments, or thoughts on how to make the layout more effective for you. I probably need to get the tags under control and organized a little better at some point, for example. Thanks for reading!
