One in the hand, two in the bush

Tonight was a late night but we managed to get back to the car about half an hour after dark. Our little after-work jaunt turned into a profitable endeavor. Saw three grouse, bagged one. First critter for the mountie. Also saw a rare hare but he took off into thick cover. Finally, threw the first snowball of the season.

One would think that if you were campaigning on an issue you'd become a subject matter expert on that issue. The Brady Campaign claims to have expertly informed opinions on the causes on gun deaths; wouldn't you expect their leaders to be qualified on safety techniques that actually prevent gun deaths?

Back from the Hunt

Last weekend we got back from the big caribou trip. We had a blast but were unsuccessful (although we ate a lot of ptarmigan! yum!). Work has been crazy busy trying to get caught up. Hopefully the blog will get some attention soon. I have a vague idea to review some gear that worked great for me on the trip and some gear that was not so good too, and maybe post some of the great photos we got.
