If you haven't heard, Surefire is jacking up prices of many of their products, like the G2, starting on 1 Feb. I just placed a sizeable order. I'd been meaning to pick up some G2s for awhile for us and as gifts and getting them now before they nearly doubled made sense. We are very happy with our X300 so it made sense to pick up a few lights that use the same batteries. We currently have mini mags but I am less than happy with their performance, especially in our cold weather.

I love my Surefire flashlight to death, and I could probably use it to club a wildebeast senseless and it would still work just fine, but when it comes to features-per-buck, Surefire was already behind the curve... this puts them about three counties out and losing. I guess the good news is that smaller vendors will be picking up additional business, which should drive them to produce more, better things.
