It seems like she's said it plainly here. Her "common sense" is that it's better to have more violent crime, as long as there are no guns involved. And she wonders why we are not willing to compromise!

ReplyDeleteI guess a few gay men beaten by a gang and dragged behind trucks in the Bible Belt, women assaulted by abusive larger male attackers, or violent cons out on the streets because the cops are busy shuffling firearms registration paperwork instead of solving crimes is the price we have to pay for allowing her to feel safe.
ReplyDeleteDitto on the wow. I had always suspected that people like Joan would view a decrease in firearm-related crime, but an overall increase in all violent crime as a "success", but I would never have even imagined that one of them would actually admit to that belief.
