I don't find it funny. Most normal people don't... If you can't admit that this is really weird and stupid then we can't have a reasonable discussion.
Clearly Joan has not heard of pop culture movies like Zombieland. Zombieland starred Bill Murray (who is apparently not funny, as he dresses up like a zombie in the movie), got a 90% score of approval on RottenTomatoes, and grossed over a hundred million dollars at the box office (before counting DVD sales and so on). So is Joan saying that she can't have a reasonable discussion with anyone that likes Mill Murray classics like Ghost Busters, dresses up at Halloween, or uses zombies as a funny attention grabber?
As a note, I only found this quote as Sebastian linked to it. I've stopped reading Joan Peterson's word salad. It isn't worth the brain bytes.

I'll keep reading so you don't have to.
ReplyDelete.... Damnit!
ReplyDeleteI was going to write this exact same post (though I found Joan's idiocy through Weer'd, and I was going to see if I could dig up box office numbers for most major zombie movies, and point out that Resident Evil is on iteration #GodAloneKnows), and then you go and write it for me.
Be that way :P.
I am increasingly of the opinion that something is genuinely broken in Joan's brain, and her apparently genuine inability to identify one of the most popular memes in modern society only serves to illustrate that point. While that is an unfortunate situation, it is apparent that there is nothing we can do about it, and it definitely speaks volumes about the Brady Campaign that they would put someone with such obvious mental damage on their governing board...
I's not even salad, it's sauerkraut. I simply can't read her gut-wrenchings and bile-spewn idiocy - it costs me brain cells.
